Over the last few years, COVID has fundamentally changed how we work. The pandemic accelerated the adoption of technology, highlighting the need for businesses to implement flexible systems that provide one central view of their workforce across their entire estate.
Virgin Active identified that they needed to implement a flexible and bespoke workforce management system due to operating
in multiple locations, extended trading hours and and different employment contracts. The solution was needed to manage their staff scheduling and to assist payroll.
ShopWorks provided Virgin Active with a solution that streamlines and digitise both their Time and Attendance and Staff Scheduling processes. This was done by delivering state-of-the-art bio-metric readers across each Virgin Active location.
ShopWorks provided a self-service portal where employees can check planned rotas, request time off and review their confirmed hours.
These solutions have given staff members increased confidence that their time and attendance, and leave will be recorded accurately.

The solution has improved multiple aspects of the business, including the accuracy of the payroll, providing visibility over team member availability across 34 UK locations and optimising resources and cost.
